Anthony, I will definitely watch all three of these. Wanted to recommend a dark, powerful film I just rewatched after 20plus years: Love Is the Devil (1998) with a young, unknown Daniel Craig who plays the lover of British painter Francis Bacon.

One of the lines that has stuck with me in my read of the Quran goes "What is it you do not understand about helping one another". For that reason, "On the Road" was my favorite. My favorite short on YT, also related to the quote, is Open Mic (search by adding gay film after or you may have difficulty finding it). I watch it often. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye but always leaves me feeling better, that there's hope. "On the Road" was like that for me too. Thanks

Immediately watched all three. Good shorts, but bothered by my feelings about _Acordes_ . The ending was not as unsatisfying as it would have been had they been younger. I feel that they were happy with the seperate lives they led all those years and the reconnection was more recapturing youth than a sense of regret. But I did appreciate that even though they had aged significantly, they still saw the same person they were in love with when they were younger. Now I have to question myself if I would have wished for a completely different ending if they were in their 30s or 40s.

Great recommendations. Wow, I really identified with that dude in Engaged, sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
I think Accordes is kinda hopeful. That these two would hook up again after 40 years, finding that the flame they carried for each other never went out, before going their separate ways once again. Kinda annoyed that we don't find out the contents of the letter Victor left for Bernardo, but I think I can guess at its contents. Basically, 'Had a great time, feelings never changed for you, but I'm married. I wish you well.'

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing these selections! Gay shorts are my bread and butter. Engaged was definitely my favorite. I’ve experienced micro-coming outs with my coworkers sooo many times. Thankfully with my friends if my personal experience is in the spotlight it’s natural and easy going for the most part. I also loved the film because I have a fellow gay friend who is just like Darren in the film, a little anxious cinnamon roll. Oh and On The Ride made me cry 😭 let me find a husband just like that haha. Have you seen Out? It’s a gay animated short that’s on Disney plus it’s a major recommendation from me!
