They dont hurt the tree and are a significant food for birds

Nonsense. Oak galls improve photosynthesis for the Oak tree and the existence of the wasp helps native birds. Crushing and killing them needlessly is misguided

These wasp don’t pose harm to humans nor the trees they inhabit, and they are incredibly important to the food web so please don’t crush these

I am reading a book and it says to make a tincture out of oak galls. Highest source of tannin in nature pound it up and tincture it.

Hi there. I just started to get these on our tree. Do I need to get rid of them balls and smash them? Do wasps actually get big and come out?

Why crush them? Are they hazardous to the tree? If not, why not just let nature do its thing.

Popped one of them open when it was still green and squishy but what I saw inside was this weird yellow jelly looking substance that looked like it was almost alive! Anybody know what this is?
