But we also have to remember that it's a progress. We don't come to these things right away and live them perfectly. We will fall at times. Walking in the spirit is getting up and moving forward. It is a process that comes over time.

I haven’t perfected walking in the spirit as I still have times where I yield to my fleshy desires, but they do cause me to be less joyful about them, and I have been reading scripture more. I guess I’m still a work in progress. I trust Jesus will see me through.

As I understand this, does this mean that before we did what the law said because it was the law, but now that we have the Holy Spirit in us, He, the Holy Spirit has put in us the DESIRE to do what the law says to do. Before we had to do it, now we want to do it?

Hmmm, you didn’t mention that walking in the Spirit is a supernatural way Of life….can’t be done with human efforts rather only by the power of God. Importantly, we (believers) can grieve the Spirit through sin our lives. THe remedy for sin: confess as we see in 1 John 1:9. Seems important as the fruit of the Spirit will come thru God’s power, not self. For unbelievers, enemies of GOD The issue is faith. John 3:36
