Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Transmutr in the comments below! :)

Tranmutr and mindscapes Skimp are about the same program especially if one only needs to import and shrink geometry. The devs of transmutr have said the algorithm in skimp seems to be slightly better but the focus of each programs are different enough that both should be considered and compared before purchasing either one. Both of those programs look to be on sale right now. I believe Transmutr is more focused towards rendering and creating proxy models which is great for programs like enscape and vray. I have used trasmutr in the past in it was good from my experience. A free alternate if one is ok with NOT having a gui front end is called universal importer and that worked well as I recall also(but maybe slow but don't really remember - it's been awhile or maybe my file was super large which is more likely).

I've been having a lot of 'luck' with Transmutr....and I've used them ALL. Including plugins that export from 3ds max to SketchUp. If I'm not exporting Vray proxies from Max, Transmutr has been the best option.

Please make a tutorial about the vray & enscape proxy

I often endup with a very heavy sofa / bed models but dont know how to set up the model proxy & the material editor it so confusing ( how to change material setting in vray to a proxied model)

Thank you!

Can that be imported into sketchup's warehouse? I believe that would have to be a skp. file?

I wish sketchUp would not be so sluggish with imported scan models

Even basic LiDAR scans make it struggle

Am I the only one who struggled with holes when I import other files? Will this fix that?

Rhino's quad remesh does this for free with saved textures imported from other softwares with file types of FBX, 3DS, OBJ etc., and has control of preserving geometry data in it's remeshing settings how does this Transmutr Top that.
