I started to train boxing at age of 30 using just hevybag and Jason's videos. after 6 months I decided to try local boxing gym and test myself at another level. nobody there didnt belive me that it was my first time at boxing gym. 5 months later, i had my first exibitional fight, won it by decision. thanks for yor videos, you were main motivation at the time I started, and I still dont miss anything you publish on youtube. God bless you
P.S. Sorry for my english :)

Before boxing all I did was sit in my room and play video games 24hrs a day 7 days a week, I had no job, no confidence, no friends and worst of all I had no self respect. That was 4 years ago and now Iam a completely different person. I honestly don't know where I would be today with out boxing. Boxing has given me the confidence to go out and get a job and make friends and get on with my life. Everyday I tell myself if I can boxing I can do anything. Walking into that gym for the first time was the hardest thing I've ever done but by far the best decision I've ever made. Great vid btw👍

I think when you talk you have something real to say. I've been watching a lot of boxing tutorials on youtube and some people sound like they just like they attention, like to have an audience. I think you have something real to offer and your motivations are sincere! I like your channel!

Like most fighters, the biggest battles were within my own life. fighting truly bought me a inner peace. if I don't train i really can feel life's pressures overwhelming me. Fighting had also allowed me to train with like minded people all over the world. It's funny, most people who fight do it for similar reasons.

I totally relate I was bullied as a little kid then my dad put me in a martial arts class but once I started to box then and only then did I feel free and confident and an overall peace heart and calm mind truly inspired by the people I have met along my journey as a competing boxer especially being the smallest guy in my weight class keep doing what you doing bro

Almost haven't trained in half a year because i broke my wrist and hand. Saw that this video came out right when it came out, but didn't want to see it. Not because i actually don't want to see it, but because i feel guilty that i haven't been training and boxing videos provoke this. Reason why I'm watching it now is because I'm starting again tomorrow. Love your videos, you're a big inspiration.

Wow my story seems to be going exactly how yours went. I got into boxing for the same reason. I remember my second time sparring. I was thinking "this isn't for me" as I was getting hit. Had a black eye. But I knew If I quit I wouldn't live it down. Especially when I'm still searching for my life purpose. Thank you for this video.

JT you're the man! Never had the money to afford a monthly membership for a gym but once I get out of university it's one of the first things i'm going to do. Your videos have helped me learn so much already.

I've just taken an interest in boxing, I've never really accomplished anything in life and I feel as though boxing would be a good way to make me feel accomplished, whether it be because of the gruelling training or eventually winning my first fight. I've watched a bunch of your videos and I'm pumped. Just gotta find a gym now

I grew up getting picked on. Very troubled, always getting in confrontations. I was scared to stick up for myself. It was a mixture of not knowing who I am, overly respecting the opponent, and being all talk and no action. Never really gotten into a fight, just nearly getting into one. My family saw me as a hard ass, but I was a coward. It wasn't until I joined the army that I was confronted with an obstacle. Beat the guy in-front of me or get the shit beat out of me. So i was forced to perform. Surprisingly, me throwing hands came naturally to me and my speed was deadly. Once I realized this, I became someone else. Currently, I am now 24 and want to give boxing a try. 100% I was hesitant because people told me i was to old. Your video changed that for me. I signed up and had my first sparring the guy. He had more experience than me and was younger than me. And a south paw which was so confusing at first. But I did great and realized I have a natural talent for this sport. And most of all I really enjoy punching and getting punched lol (more punching than receiving though lol) So, thanks a bunch man, Im going to take this as far as fate lets me. Ill remember this video always.

I totally relate to this. Discovered this when I was 16 and it really made me grow up into a confident adult. I got back into it two years ago and even though I'm older I still got it :)

This is really great, JT!! Somehow I sense a lot of boxers (including myself) share a similar story in the sense that boxing gave us the confidence and peace that we yearned for since a young age. Can really feel what you're saying, man! Great stuff! Keep boxing!

This was beautifully done! I've noticed my posture changed from the confidence and inner peace martial arts brought me. I love that you have to pay more attention to technique when you aren't genetically gifted. Soooo many benefits! Thanks for the content brother!

Used certain videos off your page for a while now, but then hit a few that helped me massively through a plateau so have dug deeper to reveal a real treasure trove. Now I see this and it's a moving story I can relate to on so many levels with the starting out part almost mirroring my struggles exactly.

Fast becoming my favourite channel on YouTube, hope you keep up the great work for a long time to come Coach!
