Guns are NOT states rights issue... the right to bare arms is protected under the 2nd amendment... its codified under the constitution. Abortion is a states issue specifically because it is NOT.protected or even mentioned in the constitution... comparing the 2 is wholely inaccurate. That was the very issue with Roe V Wade in the 1st place. The supreme court established a vague and tasset theory that abortion was protected under the 4th amendment under an expectation of privacy. It is not. As such it would fall under the 10th amendment just like anything else that has no explicit protections under the bill of rights. Thus making it a states' issue. The Federal government has no standing. With gun control its actually the opposite.. the states have no jurisdiction over a constitutionally enumerated and explicitly protected right such as the 2nd amendment.
