In my opinion Adobe missed that boat 2 years ago. For me #AffinityPhoto and #AffinityDesigner are the go to apps both on Mac and iPad Pro as well.

Too little too late Adobe. For years I've waited for mobile PS, paid $1000s in subscriptions. Now I have affinity, procreate, etc. RIP Adobe, you got lazy with updating with mobile technology.

JUST canceled my Adobe Creative Cloud. Been signed up since 2013. But now that Clip Studio and Affinity Designer are on the iPad, I’ve fully replaced Photoshop in my workflow. I was only using it to add text to stuff and make clean shapes and use layer effects.

FYI Photoshop alone you can subscribe to for $9.99 / month. Not $50

But I do all my photoshopping in Affinity Photo now.

We need a petition to call those touch point "brad points"

I feel like Adobe has forced me to change my workflow and learn new software from scratch. When I’m finally getting the hang of it well enough to do a whole children’s book in my iPad, that’s when they are finally ready to give me what I want? And like you said, they have no actual date. It could be late 2019 or even 2020!
I don’t feel excited, I’m more like impatiently glaring at them while I tap my foot on the floor.

I know of so many artists that do the majority of their work on the iPad then do finishing touches on desktop PS. If they do this correctly and keep the smooth touch gestures it'll be a huge deal for iPad artists.

Adobe can only catch up if they stop these ridiculous monthly payments, otherwise they will always be behind. With apps like Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer for iPad, Mac, and Windows, I don’t see why I would want to keep making monthly payments to Adobe. For me is a no brainer to stay away from Adobe. Affinity Publisher will be available very soon. I am pretty excited about that. If you an iPad Pro user, check the Affinity apps out. You won’t be disappointed.

Keep supporting Affinity & Procreate!! We need a REAL COMPETITOR to Adobe. Tbh, Adobe is taking advantage of us.

It would be really cool if we saw animate or some sort of animation software on the iPad. I don’t think they have any big ones out right now

Adobe was OFFENSIVE with what it offered before. I will NOT give them my money for iPad, unless they do a Movie Editing or Animation or InDesign or Web Design. Why the heck would anyone abandon Procreate and Affinity, when those 2 companies are treating us RIGHT -- Procreate and Affinity can be better companies than Adobe. I hope they grow and never sell out.

I’ve been a photoshop user since Photoshop 3. But since Affinity Photo and affinity designer who needs adobe. Who wants to buy a subscription monthly.

Was just messing up with preferences in Photoshop to see if anything is new yesterday and saw that feature for making anchor points bigger and smaller. It really does help. It seems to me that they have been updating a lot of little programs and testing out what people will say so they could make it all in a big app. Hope it turns out good.

Couldn't agree more with your comments about how they have a habit of putting out a big mobile solution that kind of... doesn't actually "do the thing" and I'd love to see them really rock some mobile apps instead of painfully half-hearted things (cough, Adobe Sketch, cough), so here's hoping! If they really do a kickass version of Photoshop on the iPad that would be... like all my mobile illustration dreams come true lol.

The obvious thing is they made a bunch a mini apps that did photoshop things learning how to redesign the architecture to work on the ipad, they are probably at a point now where they already know how to make all parts of photoshop in a app version already, they have also seen small app designers make a bunch of photoshop like functions work very well so I think they will be able to make the app do all the major functions of photoshop work in the app.
