I'm 34 years old, my mother and I were watching this together and near the end of it - I started to say: I see a bit of myself in him - my mom interrupted me and said "I think you are exactly like him." I then started researching autism traits in women and it was like reading a biography. Both my mom and I never understood really what was so 'different' about me and I think we may have finally figured out the final piece of my puzzle. I will be having an assessment soon. This was a wonderful docuseries for so many reasons - we both loved it but it's especially incredible because I think it may have changed my life. Deep thank you to Chris and Amy for sharing their stories.

This is so romantic. The part where he says, “you were the first person who ever paid close enough attention to my behavior to put things together” is like a definition of love. Seeing your person so clearly that you notice something everyone else missed. ❤️

Him saying "You're perfect" to her was a million times more romantic and heartfelt than any cheesy line from a rom-com movie.

I'm physically disabled, and I'm crying in a library at the very concept of this kind of understanding, supporting love.

Before Amy got married, it seemed like she was more famous for being a crass comedian, but this really shows a different side of her. I honestly think Chris helped her become a funnier and inspiring comedian.

My partner is also on the Autism Spectrum. When I saw Amy speak about her husband & some of his behaviors, I was like, 'AH-HA! My partner does that, too.' Communication is our biggest challenge. It's something we consciously work on in order to lower both of our frustration levels.
For my partner, his emotions are frequently delayed. For example, his father passed away & he didn't have an emotional reaction to his dad's death for about 2 months. From the outside, it looks like he's uncaring & aloof. In reality, it takes his brain longer process anything related to emotions. Once I figured that out, it helped me understand him more.

Amy Schumer and her husband are 2 of the luckiest people ever to have found one another. What a wonderful relationship they have.

My husband has Aspergers, and he is smarter than most. He is socially awkward but he knows how to treat people. Best person I know.

I have adhd, anxiety, and severe depression. My husband has bipolar disorder and ptsd. I love that Amy and her husband talk about how to communicate through these "struggles" as opposed to trying to change each other. You have to meet your partner where each of you are every day.

Nuerodiverse brains are wonderful.
It’s not a disorder, it’s just a different way of processing the world.

I’m autistic and we need to do a better job at accepting nuerodiverse folx.
💗💜💗

My son is 10 and was diagnosed formally at 5. This gives me such hope for him. Marriage, children, expressing himself verbally...I want the world for him.

The thing I love about this clip is that it's about understanding Asperger's and not about pitying people who have it
