So true. That is what is wrong with much of music, you hear it but you can't feel it. You can feel when someone puts work and their soul into a song. Not just put out the same tired lines and collect money and blame the economy or iTunes for sluggish album sales.

This reminds me of how a sword is made. They found the more they put the sword in the fire and pound it the stronger it gets. You can be made of steel but until you are beat hundreds of times over your shatter when you meet an opponent (life) that has been through a hotter fire and hammered longer. You see there are little pits inside the steel. When you heat them and hammer them you remove them. After a while there is no more pits that can lead to its downfall in battle. Go through your go through. Have faith in your process, for at the end there will be nothing that can destroy you.
