Semi-Auto Power Shrinker/Stretcher?!

preview_player
Показать описание
Here's a must-have video that will guide you through building a pneumatic stand for your manual shrinker stretcher set. The pneumatic cylinder takes the effort out of using a shrinker stretcher and the pressure regulator ensures that every bite of the shrinker and stretcher is consistent for even gradual bends. The overall size of this unit takes up an even smaller footprint than a manual hand-operated unit and a MUCH smaller footprint than a foot-operated machine.

Be sure to stay to the end of the video for a blueprint for the build so you can build your own.

Just built mine and had to use a Tailon sc50-100 cylinder as the one you used seems to no longer be available. Mine uses a 4 inch stroke, which seems.more than enough. Requires a cooresponding pivot that screws onto the base and the yoke is bigger than the one in the video.

I've seen a couple of videos of people making their own foot pedal operated stands, but never a pneumatic one. This is awesome.

I just watched this again. I forgot about the offset hole drill trick👍, and excellent job on the truck in your intro. Good to see a TPI intake still being used today.

I know nothing about pneumatic cylinder force until today. I finally, after years, looked it up. Wow, I need to start using these. Thanks, I'll be making something similar soon for my shrinker/stretcher.

OK Mr. Wizzard, pretty clever! I just bought a set of these and will be using your idea. You know I don't believe a lot of folks understand how much work and engineering it takes to build something like this. If you had to buy, it would be pricey. Thanks for the info. Keep up the good work!

I would love to see the layout of your shop. I also build cars and motorcycles from my home. Shop space just cost to much right now. I'm always looking for new space saving ideas. BTW no idea why this is under my wife's name. Lol. Tim, Liquid Cycle Designs

Do you have a link to the bits/hole saws you're using? Great video btw. As soon as I find a suitable replacement to the air cylinder which is NLA, I think I'm going to dive into this project for my shrinker/stretchers.

Dude, they run the ads regardless so you might as well get paid for your content. I felt the same way as you until I realized this. Either way, I like your channel.

I show my appreciation by Subscribing to your channel. All I can say is WOW! Just getting into metal fab. Powder coating would be the extreme in perfection. Got my Shrinker/Stretcher with stand today (Amazon Sunday FedEx). Ordering the suggested parts for air assist! Thank you!

mine is a singular unit with swappable dies, should I just chop the design in half?
