This is almost reminiscent of PTSD, like remembering a bad event or something. I saw a comment here about Lostlocked being a nuclear fallout of a post-nuclear-apocalyptic Deadlocked. Perhaps the cube was there, to see it all go down. The pain he witnessed. The suffering. The dying. All of it. Now it haunts its memory, its dreams. It will never forget the day that Deadlocked was “Lost”.
