My neighbor just gave me a MAC 10-10 Automatic. You're so right, it's nice. Runs good, nice sound, fairly easy to start. Just a squat of ether and way to go.

Nice work. Your right about the rules, never lend chainsaws, trailers, gun dogs or wives to friends.

Those 10-10 saws you have are In excellent shape!! They definitely are a good go 2 saw! Good strong running units! Thanks for sharing!

Hey buddy I found it. Sweet saws. From what I can tell first off is your chain tension is to tight and robbing power from the saw. Make sure they are getting plenty of oil to the chain. Do they have the spark arrestor in them? If they do take them out and burn them off or leave them out for a few cuts and see how they run. The first one you started sounded like it couldn't get the exhaust out, or maybe not getting enough air. If the air filters are clean then it is probably something with the exhaust. Hope this helps brother. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓

I have a mint McCulloch Pro 10-10 automatic that my grandfather bought new and gave to me. It’s my prized possession. Rarely gets ran but I always know without a doubt it’ll start right up.

Just came in from some McCullicutting, and decided to see whats new. The 10-10 basic model had manual oiling, the 10-10 automatice had both auto and manual oiling. When running them, you could tell by the sound that one revs faster than the other. I found that some of the basic models have an intake gasket that covers half the intake port, so as to make a docile home owners saw. Some of the later ones had a cylinder with an extra port in it for more power. Lots of small differences over the years.

That pro 10-10 is one of the best saws made black top. They can still run with new saws.

Great vid!

I have one now but haven’t started it yet. It’s a late 60’s i believe has the starter on the right side.

I had a 10-10 awesome in early 80s.
Way ahead of its time .
Started so easy unlike new saws .

The very reason that my 92 year old Father can't hear a lick! I grew up around this MAC 10-10 saw in The 70's and 80's.

I have a collection of over 30 of them running and scads of parts saws. They were built back when you could work on a chainsaw without disassembling the entire thing. Basic tools, minimal knowledge.

Nice!! Just got a 10-10 auto. Its got a oil pump button though. Is it a auto oiler ? Im tuning it up slowly and figuring it out. Missing bar plates. Not sure if mine needs them or not. I ordered a set along with new plug

I have a mac 10-10 but it's with the black covers. Also the super pro 81, but that full wrap is super cool.

Cool. Ever heard of Macs chains tightening up as you use it ? Iv got a 10-10 auto that is doing it again. I can’t remember why it did it before
