IS300 CX Racing Turbo Kit Install Tips and Tricks
Показать описание
A short but detailed explanation of all the preventative measures I took to have an issue free turbo setup on this 2JZ-GE naturally aspirated IS300. I go over the few flaws with the budget CX racing turbo and explain my solutions, opinions, and issues that I have with the kit.
I understand that this is a very inexpensive turbo kit and I know that you get what you pay for. However I've learned over the years that if you just take a few seconds and either research your purchase or inspect every aspect of the quality, you'll be able to correct any if not all of the imperfections with cheap parts.
Either way if you want a reliable turbo car its going to cost either time or money and in most cases both. Such is the case of this IS300 install. Total cost of just the turbo kit, oil line and heat management items, we're at about $2600 for everything. Now add engine management, fuel pump, injectors, installation and dyno prep you will most likely end up around 5 or 6k if not more for a reliable headache free turbo setup.
This particular install is quite a bit more in labor but a lot less parts cost because I'm doing my very best to not modify any of the kit and its becoming more and more time consuming using everything they send.
Any way if you read this far you're most likely bored and should just watch the video and check out where I'm at so far with the setup.
