How to tank (waterproof) a shower bathroom etc with mapei shower waterproofing kit

I run into a problem after priming so tryed to buy more primer from b&q but could only see mapia plaster primer so while there i looked on back of the container got a help tec phone number and phoned them lad very helpful and said it was the same stuff! And ok to use £10 sorted ! ! !

How do you seal the plywood, what type of acrylic you were using? applied to edge and back face of the plywood. Can it be used with Primer G(Apply paint first then Mapei Primer G)?

Could this be used on standard plastered plasterboard or should it be changed for moisture resistant plasterboard?

Good info, I'm going to fit a bathroom for the 1st time. What type of flooring did you put down under the shower cubicle. Also on the tanking kit, does it say its ok to tank on non-plasterboard walls?

Why not fibreglass & resin the whole area? That would be 100% waterproof for decades. In fact, best to install a slight lip, and a drain in one corner to allow any water out when, eventually, the tiles leak.

Hi there someone done my bathroom last year and it started to leck so got someone in who said the water is behind the tiles so I don't think they waterproof the walls so all the plaster boards are rotted so need my shower walls replaced
