Air Force Reserve: Endless Opportunities

I spoken about the Air Force Reserve before in others videos. There are so many opportunities in the Air Force Reserve especially you perform well, have a solid reputation and look for them! Make good things happen.

I’ve thought about joining the Air Force for the last 4 Years. Only problem is I can’t decide wether to do active duty or reserve. Main reason I would active duty is to get away & have a fresh start in a different direction because I’m not happy with my civilian life. Main reason I would do reserves is to go back to college & get an degree. I just can’t figure out which choice is right for me.

Great video, I am a civilian with no prior military experience. I am in my mid 30's and have an already established career in aviation for over 10 years. Strongly considering Airforce Reserve to further my career and take advantage of the many opportunities they offer. A major concern of mine is my age and how it will affect my family life.

Given that your AFSC was in personnel (which I am interested in), did you find yourself doing AF-related work outside of the one weekend a month obligation? Thank you.

Thanks for all the helpful information! I’m prior enlisted Navy (‘04-‘09). I was a hospital corpsman. I’m currently pursuing my associates in nursing, followed by my bachelors in nursing. I would like to join the AF reserve. Can you offer me some advice on what you think would be the best options for me? I really want to be commissioned. Nursing is a career for me.

Thanks for your videos, they are very informative! I just came back from MEPS and found out I qualify for the Air Force Reserve. I've been offered the job photojournalist or AFSC 3NX05. Do you know anything about public affairs jobs? And, I'm going to be a teacher in my civilian life. How often are deployments and are they mostly voluntary from your experience? I'm not against deploying but want to make sure I can still be an effective teacher in the classroom. Thanks!
