This was one of the biggest snow storms in the history of the Charlotte area and the biggest one to occur in January! This was also only the second time in history that a foot or more of snow fell in Charlotte in one day.

I remember this storm when I was working for IBM in Charlotte. We had a snow total of 18" at our house here in Gastonia. I'll never forget it.

I remember in 2000 or 2001 in Albemarle we had almost 2' of snow. The world came to a complete stop. It was a wet snow. Trees down everywhere

This must be the snowstorm my mom always talked about. Apparently my dad's mom kicked her out into a snowstorm when she was pregnant with me while he was at work. She didn't believe i was my dad's. Surprise, though! Spitting image 😂

Charlotte is a hypocrite 😂 I have been living in south Carolina area and we don't get snow and when I watch the news they always say Charlotte gets snow years 2000 2004 2006 I was so jealous because I wanted to stay home and miss school so later on I move to Charlotte in 2017 so far as I see Charlotte been lying to me 😂 no snow I thought Charlotte gets snow like new York and my question is what did I miss
