I prefer the "Japanese in 5" 's to go over 5 minutes. I am always anxious to hear more wisdom from you George. Thank you So much for taking your time to make These videos and all the preceding ones as well. I'm always on the edge of my seat waiting for another Japanese in 5 so I can learn more.

Finally, an explanation about wa vs. ga that actually makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up for me!

Like everybody else, I must thank you loads. These are short, simple and concise videos. Your examples range from long confusing ones to exemplify simple rules, and also nifty sentences that you may need to use in everyday (Japanese) life. Amazing stuff. I use this along side Genki for extra understanding of new Grammar.

what people should realize is japanese language always implies a subject they dont keep saying he she it etc..

ex: watashi Wa hon Ga daisuki = i love books
or
Hon Ga daisuki = (topic) love books.. i love books, you love books, we love books, she love books, they love books etc....

also. Wa(topic) Ga(subject) this is how i remember this two

wa =what we are talking about (topic)
ga = part of what we are talking about (subject)

my body is the topic my hand, legs, head(body parts) are the subject, so far it has not failed me so i think ill stick to this.

hope it helps someone because it cleared my clunked up brain when i first realized this.

Japanese in 5 mins.  turned out to be over 9 mins. That's OK it sometimes takes longer to explain things.

Love how he always says 5 minutes and always goes over, like, 5 minutes. :) This guy is awesome.

Great info!!! Those 2 particles are the ones that give me the most trouble! You did a great job in clarifying it. Now that I found your video series, I'm going to make it part of my lesson plan.

These lessons are so good! I've learned the basics before, but I come back to these to have a deeper understanding. Thanks.

Omg, thankyou so freaking much. I have a Japanese oral exam today, and we only covered this part last week. Also, I was taught that new information in the conversation is marked with ga, while old information is marked with wa. Which also helps choosing between ga and wa.

Honestly, brilliant style, a lesson couldn't be more clear than this. The personal involvment also sure helps a lot ^^.
