This...is my sense of humor. Yes...poop is totally natural when you have a baby. And if you poop things are moving well and you're pushing right! But I still wouldn't announce it to the room (unless you wanted me to).

When I asked the nurse if I pooped she said “nope!” And then my husband looks at me and says “yes you did, I saw it” 😂 He got the death glare from my nurse

Honestly, I feel like at that point the nurses are your best friends when you giving birth they will do everything

I looked at my husband and cried. “I pooped!” 😭 he reassured me at the time and said it was fine and nobody cared and I was doing great. Now he laughs every time he remembers it.

I've had 3 babies, one being born at 11lbs who I'm absolutely sure I had to have pooped during the birth.... yet no L&D nurse has ever told me I did or made me feel bad for doing so. Literal angels 👼

Ive once read a woman sharing her story how she's sure she pooped during the labour because she smelled it, but when she asked about it one of the nurses apologized and said she farted. And the woman started laughing so hard it made the birth easier haha

I was in labor Friday and kept saying “I have to poop!!” The nurse said “I can’t find your baby.” I was like “Oh my gosh 😭😭” and the OB checked and said “congratulations.. she’s halfway out the canal.” And I said “so it’s not poop..?” And they said “no it’s your baby” 😂

Note to any future dads out there: you are expected and required to go along with this. You NEVER tell her!

There is a special place in heaven for labor and delivery nurses!
You meet this person and you feel connected to them and you’re so vulnerable but you completely trust them. It’s the craziest experience 😂

This is such a sweet sentiment. Women having each others backs is so nice to see these days

I’ve delivered 4 children and no nurse ever told me I pooped but I know I did every time lol 😂 I felt it with my first and I started to cry and apologize and my nurse looked at me and said “Mama, don’t you worry about a thing, you just worry about pushing and delivering your beautiful baby girl” and after I was done and she brought me my daughter (after all her testing and what not) she gave me a hug and said that every Mama poops when she’s pushing to deliver her baby and that’s not something she should ever worry about! That pooping was a beautiful thing on the delivery bed because it meant a beautiful baby was about to come into the world! I literally bawled and told her she was incredible and before we left my husband brought her a huge thank you bouquet of flowers with a card and a picture of our daughter…. She cried and gave us hugs and said she loves what she does and it was people like us that remind her every day why she became a labor and delivery nurse! I’ll never forget her! We send her updates of our children often, she made a huge impact on our lives, so big that our daughters middle name is Elizabeth, which of course was our nurses name ❤

I remember having such bad contractions and had to pee and couldn't move let alone walk. I cried while asking the nurse if I could just pee on the pads. She held me in a long hug and took care of everything. I'm forever grateful for that moment.

If you had a nurse that cared consider yourself lucky! The nurse I had was so awful that the birth of my daughter was a nightmare! She refused pain meds for me, told me she had 5 kids with nothing. Told me I wasn't as far along as I thought and my water burst all over the floor and she was so irritated with me she literally tossed my gown at me. I felt so alone and sad.

The dr kept wiping my bum repeatedly during my last pregnancy. I couldn’t feel anything except a gentle pressure but I knew something was coming out that wasn’t a baby yet. I asked him if I was pooping myself and he said “Yes but it’s ok! It’s completely normal!” Still love that DR to this day!

This is the only kind of nurse I want in the delivery room if I ever have a baby.

I actually got up an proceeded to try to poop. To which the nurses yelled Kayla that’s the baby coming. Get off the toilet 😂😅
