Harold Lutnick called the Ontario premier to discuss the electricity surcharge and ford agreed to pause after America said they wouldn’t impose the second 25% on steel and aluminum. The Canadian federal government then stepped up and slapped on a dollar for dollar tariff on American steel and aluminum entering Canada. The federal government does not want one province to take on more burden than another in this trade war. Trump did not win this negotiation Canada will not back down and will not obey Trump as Mexico seems to be doing either will the European Union. Trump is taking America down a treacherous path that will cost Americans billions.
