The US has no business in Syria and should have never been there from the outset. The Russians are acting as the mediators now which is better because they at least understand the realities instead of US which serves industrial military complex interests. There was no easy exit from Syria no matter which way you look at it. What has the US ever done right in the ME? I can’t think of a conflict the US has won geopolitically the last 20 years.
