Good show. Especially for 2022.

No where near overtly sexual, not a ton of profanity, and no extreme message left or right. With a hint of sci fi to build off of if they choose to.

Thanks for the review. I’ve watched 6/8 episodes, and started it even though I knew it was cancelled. I’m quite enjoying the intrigue and learning new context to the past (with the deceased son). Such a shame that Amazon binned it so quickly, as these types of shows are slow burners. Some of the best shows start off slow, and turn out to be all time greats.

Thanks for the review. I've actually been looking forward to this series. I'm glad to hear it's worth our time. My only concern is every time we get a show we love, we have to worry about it not getting another season or getting another season just to be cancelled on a huge cliffhanger. I can't tell you how many shows I've invested so much time in for them to get cancelled. It's beyond frustrating to take the time and energy to pick a show or series out of 100's or rather 1, 000's and follow it from episode to episode and get so invested in the show for the network to not invest anything else in it. It doesn't matter if the series is popular and has a huge fan basis anymore. All that matters now is turning out quick & cheap series that they can make a little profit on and then just dump it. It seems that way.

This was a solid series. I'm actually really happy there's no season 2. So many series that ruin their storyline with additional seasons. I love that this series leaves you guessing on if you are watching a Sci fi or alternative religious explanation play out, and the ending is obscure enough you can answer that yourself. It did feel a bit long and that they tried to introduce too .any characters and storylines, but it was a nice departure from the pacing of typical shows.

Sissy Spacek and J.K Simmons are better than old wine! Stunning performances, they are standing head and shoulders above the other actors in the series to the point that it made the parts where they are not present a bit extra . I would cast Gael Garcia Bernal for Jude ! He could keep up with these two old soldiers! In the first three episodes the building up is a bit slow but still I am looking forward to see more of Irene and Franklin. They are amazing.

I'm currently on episode 5 of Night Sky. And really it features a couple of tour-deForce performances by J.K. Simmons, and the wonderful Sissy Spacek. I've got to say that, even though Season One is a little bit of slow burn, this is superb Sci-fi show.
Amazon Prime are producing some high quality shows at the moment - including Outer Range, is there so much to like and
enjoy here.

For the " editing" purists out there, did anyone else notice that the dead guy dressed in "primitive" looking clothes, had the knife still stuck in his torso. Wasn't this the same guy that Jude kept recalling in memories, that he had to kill with a knife? The same knife that was in the York's guest bathroom medicine cabinet? If this wasn't an editing error, then I'm very confused.

Huh- I am almost done with the second season of Longmire right now, nice to see Ferg in another role. I’ve always been a fan of JK Simmons, too- he’s a great and versatile actor. It looks like I’ll be giving this a chance soon. Thanks for another great suggestion!
