Hey everyone, I've been a storm spotter for almost nine years, and as of last year I am also a wildfire survivor that lost everything. Mr. Spann I heard about the tornado that struck your house & I am so glad that everyone is safe. I became a spotter because I love meteorology while still being phobic. Specifically astraphobic. I used to reside on the east coast, and there I survived floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, & a superstorm. My anxiety levels heightened each spring and summer so before the pandemic I moved. I realize the irony, but I wasn't afraid of the wildfire because although delayed, we had a level 3 evacuation order, I evacuated with only my purse & lost everything but my life. I digress however. Now that I am in a place where severe weather doesn't happen much, I can comfortably watch these videos. That being said, I still keep an eye on risk outlooks from the NWS respecting all polygons & I have a weather radio which features a siren, solar power, along with handcrank charging. Before my mother died, I would watch forecasts not local to me if I saw on the NWS risk areas outlooked for her area & I'd note warnings, watches, and call her the moment I saw a hook echo or if any warning was issued, of course.

When Mr. Spann says if you know anybody in x, y, z locations, please remember everyone that you can be 3, 000 + miles away from people in warned areas & still warn them. Sadly I no longer watch the weather for my mother. Cancer took her, but the weather never did so please whether anything happens or not everyone please listen to your meteorologists. You could go to shelter and have nothing happen, sure. At the best nothing occurs, at the worst if a natural disaster strikes, what those meteorologists ask of you can save your lives. Thank you Mr. Spann.& ABC 33/40. I am not in your local television market or your state, but know you are appreciated. Stay safe, stay well, stay informed everyone. All my best.

I live in Cullman and my workplace was damaged during the storm this last weekend. I haven't seen any storm reports. There were injuries also. I was one of them. Our bay door was blown in causing me and a coworker to be blown to the concrete
