I quit drugs the year this came out. It's kind of a marker for me. 25 years clean. I, however traded one addiction for another as I followed Disturbed from Oklahoma through Texas and up to Chicago. Where i lived for a time waiting for them to go back on tour. I finally met David in Wisconsin where they had their second show. I got 10 minutes of undivided time. I told him thank you for inspiring me to stay clean with the Sickness album. After that, I went back to Oklahoma where I devoted my energy to my children and lived out my life as a single mom. Hard to believe it's been 25 years.

I was at Carolina Rebellion in May 2016 with my best friend. My first experience at a Disturbed concert. Phenomenal. Had a close call with some moshers, but the folks around me helped to get me out. You see, I have some major hardware in my back and I actually put a pillow up the back of my shirt to help with any one getting a little wild. My best friend actually had a conversation with the people around us, before they came out on stage, and she asked for help, for me, to get me out if it got too crazy. It eventually did, and to all those people, a huge THANK YOU!! I ended up on the outskirts, but it still didn’t deter the phenomenal concert you guys played that night. I know I could NEVER be in a mosh pit or even remotely close to the stage. When I hear a song for the first time, especially ones with some heavy drums, that’s what usually draws me in at first. I honestly would love to just lay on the stage, out of everyone’s way, just to feel the music too. I’m 54 and I still love my music loud. It’s like a one person concert in my car. Music is life. Music is love. Music transcends us all into our own little bubbles. At least it does for me. Disturbed will forever be my top favorite. Even when I’m 80, if I make it. Thank you for all the music you have given us over the years.
