CHURCH HURT (HOLY GROUND) | Fellowship Creative
Показать описание
So many lives have been changed in the local church. It’s Fellowship Creatives prayer to inspire listeners to not only see all the good God offers us through the Church, but to invite them into this special community Jesus built.
“O, the fruit that you’ll see fall when you lay those roots, plant your feet, and stay faithful through it all.”

Lyrics:
Verse
8th grade, ‘99
Mom said, “Son, we’re going to church.”
“Why you gotta take my Sundays from me, mom?”
Showed up, dressed nice
I was so uncomfortable, but
People’s kindness can disarm an atomic bomb
And the band started playing,
And the people started singing,
And the preacher started preaching
I was caught up in a feeling like
I was the only one in the room
I knew about religion and I thought I knew Jesus
But this was something that I didn’t know
This was relationship with a living God
And I’m so thankful for that day
Next step, Wednesday night
Mom said, “Son, you’re going to youth.”
“Mom, I don’t wanna go. I don’t know a single soul.”
But they welcomed me in, this rebellious kid
Gave me a family that’s thicker than blood
Taught me about unconditional love
In the arms of Jesus
Said it could be mine if I wanted it
And I did so I opened my heart to Him
And said, “Jesus, I’m sorry for all of my sin.”
And it’s hard, I can’t explain,
but I could feel him saying,
“I forgive you and I love you, and I always will.”
And tears filled the eyes of a 14 year old boy that night
And I’m so thankful for that day
How could you take for granted
Something that changed your life
And just walk away
Don’t walk away
Don’t walk away
Don’t walk away
And I’ve been standing on holy ground
And it’s only by the grace of God
I’m standing here right now
But, O, the fruit that you’ll see fall
When you lay those roots
Plant your feet
And stay faithful through it all
So don’t walk away
Don’t walk away
You’re only hurting yourself more
When you walk away
So don’t walk away
Don’t walk away
You’re only hurting yourself more
When you walk away
