Free-fall Lifeboat launch - NSCC Nautical Institute 2014

Free-Fall Lifeboat launch at the NSCC Nautical Institute Strait Area Campus, Port Hawkesbury Nova Scotia. NSCC is the first Canadian school to offer free-fall lifeboat training.

It is a fun ride down to the water. :)

As the coxwain is forward facing, where's the head restraint to prevent whiplash?

On higher heights the seats would have to be facing up to the sky to prevent injury and death. They had people die from the breaking of the necks facing forward as they hit the water.

The seats should be positioned in the opposite direction to the water. That way the cervical vertebrae do not suffer a whiplash.

The jack system to launch boat seems like it could be a issue . Hope there is a secondary launch option
