Just took the exam and passed. For anyone doing this in 2024, the Google learning path has been updated and is much more useful (very much worth going through it). The exam guide has been improved to be more accurate and reflective of what's actually in the exam. Also imo, the exam is easier than what was presented in this video, I highly doubt it's 3x more difficult than AWS or Azure anymore.

With that being said, this video is EXTREMELY helpful in understanding the differences between GCP services and tools. It also helps drive in some concepts that are glossed over in the official learning path. The learning path, this video, the official Google sample questions, and the free practice exam on freeCodeCamp are more than enough to prepare you.

01:00:54 Cloud *architecture terminology.*
01:07:48 Virtual *machines (VMs) utilize hypervisors for multi-tenancy, sharing server costs. VMs face underutilization challenges, conflicts, but offer easy migration and scalability. VMs are widely used and comfortable for many users.*
01:09:02 Containers, *like Docker, run multiple apps efficiently, maximizing capacity and flexibility. Containers share the same OS, preventing conflicts during resource sharing. Containers require more maintenance than VMs but offer increased efficiency.*
01:10:12 Serverless *functions abstract infrastructure concerns, enabling code execution without managing OS. Cost-effective, pay only for code execution time. Cold starts may cause slight delays due to VM spin-up.*
01:14:27 Zones *are physical locations with one or more data centers. High availability requires deploying resources across multiple zones. Google Cloud generally offers three zones per region.*
01:17:16 Data *residency refers to the physical location of Cloud resources. Compliance boundaries dictate where data can reside based on legal requirements. Assured Workloads and resource location restrictions help enforce data residency.*
01:18:57 Cloud *Interconnect offers direct physical connections between on-premise networks and Google's network. Dedicated and Partner Interconnect options provide varying bandwidth. Co-location facilities are rental data centers facilitating dedicated connections.*
01:23:23 Latency *is the time delay between systems. Inter-regional latency may range around 500 milliseconds, while inter-zonal latency is in the double digits. Understanding latency helps in choosing suitable architectures for high availability.*

Thank you so much for this very great course. I am able to pass my exam today, January 27, 2023. I have looked into a lot of vids and so far, this is the best.

Since I am unable to buy your practice test, I am sending a donation via YouTube thanks to support this.

Passed GCP CDL today. I already hold AWS CCP cert. For those of you who have AWS certs, I would just recommend going through this video (1.5x) skip sections not important for exams, and you should be able to pass. ( I just spend about 2.5 hours on this video and then couple of online mock tests)

Took exam today and passed! Follow this video and take notes to topics like databases , security, resource hierarchy

If you have background from AWS ..you just need to know functionality of service very similar to CCP .

Good luck!

Passed the exam, this video helps a lot I also reviewed official Google videos for some topics like discounts, take a moment to study this topic, and compliance. Focus on storage, app engine, Cloud armor, Cloud SQL, Big query, Anthos and Preemtible VMs also designing scenarios for migrating on premise to cloud based on local, regional and global access and frequency of requests.

Litterally the best course online for the preparation of Google Cloud Digital leader exam, I litterally started studying 8 hours before exam, and I passed it. It's to the point and very precise, covered every important topics that comes to exam. Thanks a lot Andrew for this detailed content. You were my saviour today

Passed this week. Make sure to focus on 'everything' that the exam guidance mentions. There was even one question from the Google Cloud Adoption Framework. They have really tried hard to include questions in the exam that are contained within the official guide and official courses, which is of course good. But if you pass only the official courses and guides, it is also not enough. You need to understand in which situations things like DataWarehouse, DataProc, BigQuery etc are used. All the questions are situational, which makes the exam relatively harder than Az-900 and AWS (I have both).

Just wrote the exam, and passed. All I can say is that this video is more than enough for your preparation towards Google Cloud Digital Leader. Most of the questions are slightly situation based. Many questions in my exam were related to databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and AI/ML. I did get like 2/3 questions based on API and Apigee.

Passed the exam today, this video helped a lot along with the udemy cloud digital leader course and few practice sets (udemy ) . 4 weeks of thorough study is enough to pass this exam however the difficulty level of this exam is quite high.

Without your video, I wouldn't have passed the exam. Thank you so much. Your practice tests helped a lot. I hope Google takes a hint from this video and gives you the charter to create training content for them because we all know that the one they have currently has no relevance to the actual certification exam!

Ok Google is 100% reading my mind, I finished my SAA-C02 in April during my spring break and I was thinking of taking a GCP exam when I got this recommended.
