Показать описание
Ken built this root vegetable washer to help speed up the process for washing root vegetables that would otherwise have to be washed by hand. This washer is the latest in Ken's inventive machines designed to optimize the work being done for Orchard Hill Farm's organic CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).

In this video you can see how beets are cleaned during the inaugural test run of the root vegetable washer.

great work. it will save a lot of time and effort and your products will probably keep better too without all the wet soil on there

Amazing build. Do you have plans for it?

A good idea is to attaching a long piece of hose inside the barrel that goes helical all the way through.. the veggies will go through the barrel at constant speed and will roll inside many more times for a better wash

Very interesting root washer!!! Wondering if you have plans for recapturing the water for use on the garden? Also are you planning to offer the plans on your website?

Goes too slow. Needs (old tyre tube?) rubber lining to minimize damage to vegetables. And needs a lot more spray.
