How Libya Betrayed Gaddafi. After All His Achievements

Libya has undergone several changes and reforms for so many years now. Bound by the Mediterranean Sea, Tunisia, Algeria, Niger, Sudan, Chad and Egypt, Libya is the fourth largest country in Africa, and the sixteenth largest in the world by land, according to researchers and tourists.

Over 90 percent of Libya is desert, notably the Sahara, which the largest and hottest desert in the world. Moreover, oil reserves in Libya are the largest in Africa and the ninth biggest in the world.

I worked in Libya on an engineering project in 2004 for eight weeks. I knew about all the bad press the media gave the country but was pleasantly surprised on hearing all the achievements made to that country.most of the people I met were happy with the lifestyle that they had they had and the standard of living provided by Gaddafi sharing the oil wealth oùt to the population.

Gaddafi era was a golden era progressing towards prosperity. Every citizen was given education, marriage expense, house loan and a position in the society. This is because he linked the Libyan currency with gold 🪙 and promoted agriculture sector.
