Fran had the perfect figure, very pretty face, really big hair, a brilliant personality, and fantastic comedy timing. Her chemistry with Charles Shaughnessy was absolutely perfect. Most under-rated sitcom of all time in my view.

The running gag of Grace being super knowledgeable about therapy (it was even in the pilot—“We went back to my childhood”) always makes me smile! Top-notch writing.

I LOVE her tennis outfit it's so iconic. This show aired in the 90's and it's 2021 and people still find her outfit cute. She had such a great sense of fashion and a great body to pull it off.

Gracie might as well be my professional therapist with how she already knows

It may be just me, but the show doesn't feel old. The fashion of the time isn't that different from today's and the visual Quality is also very good.

"So, Miss Fine, are you ready to play with me?"
"You

This show had some truly great innuendos. Of course, they went completely over my head as a child...

edit: WHOA, thank you all so much for the likes! I've never had this many before!

This show holds up so well. I remember watching it as a child and loving everything, watching it as a teen and loving everything sans the clothes and nowadays I’m obsessed with the whole aesthetic!

One of the best family comedy sitcoms I’ve ever experienced as a kid

Niles: "his favorite soup "Cream of English tuckus"
Maxwell: "and you may use your own tuckus because it's soon to be canned!"

0:53 Fran's genuinely excited to share a hobby activity with him, which is cute (the innuendo comes later).
.
It's also sweet how she regularly spends time with the children for just-for-funzies things even when they get older, and invites them to her family events. And she was very present and engaged with helping with their school projects / issues, etc. (Maggie's difficulties with gym class and modelling attempts, and Grace's girl scout outing to visit a senior citizen come to mind, because I watched them recently but there were lots of others).
.
And last but not least, always encouraging *Maxwell* to be more involved with them, which she starts from the very first episode with getting him to let the kids attend the work party he's hosting in his home (instead of having them stay upstairs in their rooms).
.
She was not perfect (ofc, no one is) yet was very much what the doctor prescribed.

Daniel Davis has one of the best English accents done by an American I've ever heard. It was only years later that I found out that he was not actually English.

Between the 2, the English accent seems to be a bigger struggle to master, as there have been *MANY* English actors speak with virtually flawless American accents (this cannot be stated enough as most US films have been dominated by European and Australian actors donning an almost perfect American façade), even the regional accents.
