After an unprecedented year of devastating cyber-attacks, an international push to track down hackers is under way.

Cyber gangs are being arrested in multiple countries, but not Russia, which has historically ignored accusations of harbouring some of the worst cyber-criminals.

BBC reporter Joe Tidy travelled to Russia to try to find the world’s most wanted hackers who are living millionaire lifestyles, with no chance of ever being arrested.

Don't be so disappointed, every father could be so angry if some random people come and ask about his son

You've sent a journalist to Russia on gathering information about hackers(one in particular) and resulted in getting a very upset middle aged man and no leads, most impressive BBC.

How do you expect to just simply meet or track down a man who has 5 million on his head.

Relying too much on technology is good for the hackers

Maybe the USA should invest in cyber security instead of blaming others for its incompetence?

Western journalists have a sense of entitlement when handling matters in other countries. As a journalist, I find this guy extremely unprofessional and utmost dumb for a journalist. What he is doing needs investigative journalism. He approaches it politically. That was deemed to fail right from the beginning

So if you're a hacker go to Russia because it's a safe haven. Got it😂

Won't lie, I'm finding the journalists' interrogation of the guy's dad a bit disrespectful

If a stranger calls you on a phone and starts asking weird questions or wants to meet up, of course those people avoid them, because they think, that is a somewhat scam or advert. Those phone scams are quite popular in Russia and eastern Europe so Im not amused at all why they didnt meet with them
