Every cemetary is full of people, who once were alive as well. Yet, nobody has any plans on going there, to live.

Would be awesome if we found fossils of past life on Mars

Mars hasn’t had water in 3.6 billion years back in the Noachian / Hesperian timeline. There still could be microbes, they do live in hyper arid, UV bombarded soils heavy in percholates on Earth. I’m glad there’s still a Bio Ethics committee on extra planetary situations

In the northern hemisphere of Mars, there is a 1, 425-mile wide crater. The area is smooth because the mantle filled in the large asteroid inpacked area and slowed the convection of the mantle

Makes me sad to think we are so ready to go elsewhere and mess up a second planet 😢

I saw the video was released 3 minutes ago, and what incredible news! I suppose this shows that theories about life on other celestial bodies are correct, and we can do it again!

But without a magnetic field, one solar flare would take the efforts back to the Stone Age, literally!

I don't think we should be messing around with Mars and Terra forming we should look to it as a possible future for our own planet if we don't start being better to it.

The water on mars is probably very toxic due to high mineral content( terra forming looks good on paper but implementation is just a pipe dream!

Terraform Mars? Sure. Look at the mess on the planet we're already terraforming.

No way. Mars never had Ice Cream eating astronauts on it before. And can you believe it. They brought their backpacks with them. They plan on roughing it a few days( Oh, the great Martian outdoors)

Icy comets could be diverted to mars, replacing it's lost water and, by forming clouds, raise the temperature

Without atmosphere, with daily extreme temperature swings.. even water from a dozen comets may not last long or could it? If so, how?

Well presented. It sounds like Mars was doomed from the beginning. Courage and persistence to those who explore it. Seems like it will take a long time.

What happened to the recent discovery of 'hidden ocean beneath Mars surface'? (published Aug. 12 in the PNAS journal)

The first step is magnetosfer should be Made. Bore hole until it core, then nuclear blast to make it hot again and liquid. But who, Deva or us?

Surely, terra sirenum would be land of the sirens. Sea of the sirens would be mare sirenum.
