wow this is by far the best video with the most info about Acer P D orangeola that I have found!! I have three of this little guys in the front yard and I was thinking about pruning them today. I just saw the name tag and realized what they are. I'd like to move one to my waterfall area, where it only gets about 4 hours of sun I guess (late afternoon).. Don't know if that will work. I live in zone 9b..This year should be their third year.

But how do you take care of it? Does it need an acidifier in alkaline environments? In zone 9a (TX) should I keep it in almost full shade? I have mine in a half whiskey barrel. Is that enough room? How often should I feed it? Does it like more or less water? Yikes!!! I already killed a Bloodgood JM out of ignorance, please help me keep my orangeola alive 😢

So I bought one of these (before I knew about your company) and I asked the nursery I got it from about tips on potting these and they said these are not meant to be potted. They said it would be too big to pot and it would get too cold here in New England to make it through the winter. Please let me know your thoughts.
