On July 11th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the national emblem atop the new Parliament building that is being constructed at the Central Vista

However, the first look of this emblem has disappointed many with its alleged inaccuracies in its depiction.

The newly constructed emblem is 6.5 metres tall and 4.34 metres wide.

It is made of bronze and weighs about 9,500 kg.

Sunil Deore and Laxman Vyas created the emblem and the fabrication was carried out in Aurangabad, Jaipur and Delhi.

It took nine months to complete the bronze sculpture.

Frankly speaking, I like this one better than before. Lions are supposed to look aggressive, they aren't rabbits for god s sake

The opposition can debate over so many issues but they chose controversy on national emblem 😐

If the originally made symbolic representation wanted to show peace only, then would have kept pigeons instead of lions. Keeping lions means they wanted to show that if required these lions can be aggressive at any moment of time. So just be cautious.

The symbol is majestic. Each direction has different look. No error in the statue.

No wrong at all with the emblem. The lion is a symbol of courage. No harm if its fangs are out. Opposition wants India to look timid as usual. Jai Hind

The opposition lacks any other solid critc so by saying that the emblem is distorted they are trynna make it a issue. They want lion to look graceful fyi lions are known for their fierceness and is a symbol of strength and endurance so by values I don't think there is any diversion from the standard emblem. Obviously many people think the same too, well lions don't consider themselves with the opinions of sheeps.

When i saw it for the first time i too thought it's not looking good and too many irregularities are there but as soon as i saw caption of this video i thought may be it is because the statue is very big and it is mostly supposed to be viewed from a distance and that's what the artists intended, so now i am ok with it. Perspective is a big part of art.

Someone rightly said that the emblem should've had sheeps in it then opposition would be relieved.
