🌻 POTTING ON CHILLI PLANTS 🌻 RASPBERRY CANES 🌻 STORM PREPARATIONS 🌻 Potting on chilli plants and onions are the main activities during the past week. Raspberry canes that arrived via mail order get potted into tubs as a temporary measure. Storm preparations are needed as two severe weather warning are issued for my area Sit back and ENJOY!!!!

We'll be interested to see how the onion seeds compared to sets do for you. We tried seeds last year, and they were a bit disappointing, to say the least. It was our 1st crack at it, so we're giving it another go this year 🤞. Nice update, Nigel.

A roof i put on the back of the shed folded under the weight of rain we had but I need to place more bracing I knew it would be weak and was gonna do it but of course I went to work and bam shit loads of rain and the bitumen sheets folded They have not broken though so its a job for tomorrow. Superb cauliflowers Nigel, just as I'd decided not to grow as many as well, made me think twice for a few minutes! I don't have my onions in a propagator, just in the unheated polytunnel, that way I don't think they get as leggy and so they don't need any supports : All the best - Steve

Hi Nigel, why do cauliflower’s always come all at the same time 🥴😂, is it because we grow F1 varieties, I suppose none F1s would crop at different times, it doesn’t look good for Friday, you have given some great advice for everyone, chillies and peppers are coming on great, take good care kind regards

Wow I gel I hope your safe and the garden is ok, great tip with the zip ties on the vent arm. We get high winds normally in November but nothing thank goodness like these storms. Never under estimate Mother Nature and her wrath. Fantastic cauliflowers by the way 👍👍👍Thank you for sharing everything with us stay safe keep warm .

Thanks for that! I hope you get through that storm unscathed! We are expecting a snow storm tonight, they say we might get 25cm. Those cauliflowers look good, that was a nice surprise! It sure pays off for you to have Spare glass ready to go for your greenhouse, I imagine it would be a lot more difficult to replace a piece in the roof.
