Cause there was a bunch of bandwagon hype and now the bandwagoners are leaving. Happens every game.

Day 1 players leaving in gacha games is really, really really really common. It's nothing, absolutely nothing new AT ALL. Been deleting inactive friends n now over than 20+ friends of mine r still actively playing at lvl 45-50+. Dont make sound as if it's a horrible thing

The game itself is fine, but they are way too stingy with resources, and I hate the way summoning works. I've got better things to do with my time.

Well… with how fast they are churning out meta characters and giving us like 2-4 free summons per event I can see why.

I'm not a day 1 player. I started about a week after the game released, after watching the livestreams of one of the CC's that I follow (Dreamt). The game looked fun and interesting, and I have been enjoying it so far.

I rerolled for Gloria and got Guzman from the beginner banner. Then I just started playing the game without doing any more summons. I figured that I had plenty of time to decide if I wanted to go for Beryl/Col or Dantalion/Samantha, etc.

Eventually I decided that I really enjoy playing Gloria so I want to build a team around her, which means making a Union team. Fine. I skipped Edda's banner. I skipped all the dual banners. I pulled on Simona's banner. 171 pulls later I finally got Simona. After losing the 50/50 twice (Nungal and Iggy).

I don't regret pulling for Simona. She's fun to play and I'm glad I got her. As well as a WHOLE bunch of other units (23 total, including Simona). But looking at how much Hope Luxite I have left and thinking about the accelerated banner schedule (worried about Auguste/Tristan mainly), does make me feel more than a bit disheartened. I don't expect to summon on every banner, but if they are going to push out banners this quickly, they really need to give us a bit more free currency to make up for it. At least have the events give out a free 10-pull, instead of just 3-4 single pulls. That's insulting.

People can talk about being able to farm shards all they want, but if you can't pull the unit in the first place because you don't have enough currency (game is stingy, banners come out too fast) or you are unlucky (180 pity), who cares?

I'm not surprised people are leaving. I hope this makes the developers rethink their scheduling/rewards/etc.

I mean i get it, the single player mode is great and a lit of players joined to play it, i put in 100 hours in to the single player mode but i do both modes.

Players who only want to play single should be finishing up and leaving.

This has also a lot to do with other games giving bad habits to players.
People became lazy with afk/auto garbage games.
SOC asks for people to use their brain regarding a true tactical gameplay but also on how to optimize the ressources/stam.
This is a niche game so not for everyone.

I like your content a lot, but this is normal for every game. Initial hype goes down and normalizes. Honestly after seeing the sensor tower data the game did WAY better than I thought it would (and that’s mobile only not including pc sales) so this game is doing just fine. Games lose people and gain people all the time ☺️

Game has its pros and cons
Tactics is not for everyone, and a lot of people are just curious and looking to test something new, and then they leave, zzz was like this, wuwa was like this, soc wouldn't be different

Others just come back when there is new story/new character release
And others spend everything they get on every banner knowing that the game is at an accelerated pace and then complain that they don't get anything from gacha and even so they refuse to build a pity or to spend

I like the game a lot and unless the company wrecks it I'll keep playing since I love the story and the character development
Plus I love to see people struggling to win over my defenses on clash, it's really funny to watch and learn with them how to play even better
Don't care for whales, they keep games running, and I don't plan competing with them

Thanks for the video
Peace out

Rerun banner doesn't exist, the double banner are just a scam, this is not a rerun. The cherry on top of the 180 pity, no guaranty to win after loosing a 50/50 before the 180th pull, the few free currency and the accelerated schedule make a bad situation for me.
What devs expect when global will be just at 6 months from the cn server ? I dont understand.
Global will always watch the future banners and the cn meta to plan their pulls and skip wisely anyway.

Lvl 48 account here and yeah i started to feel this a few days ago. The game is great in itself but it just doesn't justify a daily login. The daily system is too simple and braindead and it just became a chore after the first week. Knowing that the chore is only there to make us spend money to bypass it is a giant red flag in itself. Even the events were a TON of work with tiny rewards that didn't feel had any impact at all aside from a tiny amount of account progression.

Yeah, they really f*cked us with the fast banners, but not as much resources for pulls. I'm a light spender with monthly and cornucopia. I lost to that dual banner thrice and went to pity twice just to get the character I actually want.

Wanted, Beryl and got Col
Wanted Nungal, but got Garcia
Wanted Alexie and got Lilywill

Not worth it

They just need more multiplayer content for people to look forward too. If they make an announcement about real time pvp, guild wars or some kind of 3 player raids or something along those lines, I'm in for the longrun.

I left the game because a few reasons:
1. Controller support on PC was hit or miss, sometimes disconnecting altogether without a way to reconnect or worse when playing.

2. No real direction after the introduction. Having some guidance goes a long way. Clearing a map with story (Fool's Journey), and then a reference to another mode's story (SoD) I have not played much. I know there is a guide somewhere online, but I don't want to have to have a guide to lead me through the correct way to play a game.

3. Game locked up a few times, like could move on the screen (in base), but no way to go anywhere else in the base.

4. A lot of information thrown at me at once and a lack of information. SoD did not give any indication I could leave and return. When I selected to leave, the message is misleading. Each chapter is very time consuming early on. I think it was ~3 hours. This is a mode that does not let you spend endurance (the game's stamina system) while in SoD.

5. Lack of control in combat. When I have more control in a game from 10-15 years ago in this genre, you know it is bad. These things include walking path for characters, being able to target enemies that are clearly in my range, setting which way to face and screen rotation. Some of these features were in the original FFT made in 1997, ~27 years ago.

The game could have been so much more. I played for about 2 weeks and got to like level 35. I had pretty good pulls with Gloria and Beryl. So, it wasn't a rage quit on pulls.

Also, why did I need to Alt+F4 or task manager to close the game? You would think the game would have an easier way to close it.

this is the game that almost many random friends are crazy online, every day, is u check about game going good, u see when your random friends that come around be playing or leave and SOC is crazy that 99% still playing

I actually agree. I'm still playing, but the game doesn't give you enough luxite to do what the game wants you to do. I've reached a point where I've done all the fools' journey and can't get anymore. I do my daily to get my 60. The only grind I have left is spirals, and thats very ttime-consuming

It is the type of game that when you want to play you want to play it a lot but the game has stamina. Duo banners are absolute awful because even if you are forced to the hard pity you can't choose so you can still lose. The value for money, in terms of pulls, is also bad even for a high paying player. The characters look good but ultimately it is a static png on one screen. I really like the gameplay, you know when I'm allowed to play... There is also very little feel of progression, especially if you treat is as a TRPG, since characters have a very limited skill pool that has a limited loadout on top of that.

Personally, as a Day 1 player, I enjoy the story and challenges the game brings with limited pulls as a f2p player. It forces me to strategize and adapt to what I pull. Until the game becomes really p2w (probably specialized weapons if it isn’t for less used units), I’ll probably keep enjoying the game since I do not have access to games like Unicorn Overlord.

because theyre stingy. 3 pulls from an event that lasts a month feels scarce. atleast there's a quiz event to compensate for scarcity of luxites, but the gacha is a different matter. the game does not have hoyoverse pity system.

a shorter period for debut banners because global version is rushing the schedule which means lesser timeframe to get unit of ur choice. worse if ur low in crystals

meta characters being released back-to-back which put strain to f2p players given how already scarce luxite crystals are. goodl luck if auguste and saffiyah are released one after another.

the absence of rerun banners at the moment and destined banner being unreliable and a "waste of pulls"

to top it off signature gears are coming on version 3.0 and they are acquired gacha. if u didnt get them u can get them on the weapon banner, which no one pulls at. such glaring issues. i think this is all because once u get a unit ur not gonna pull for them again because the shards are farmable and it only takes 3mos to promote to 5star, but that doesn't mean they have to be stingy. farming shards still takes a lot of time and its only 3 units at a time. meta also changes often because of ToA so investing horizontally and widening ur roster is pretty much the way of investing here

I love the game I just hope the devs do something to fix it up an not let it die.
