They have millions of dollars to hand out to executives but god forbid a longshoreman gets an extra nickle. 😒

It is amazing how essential workers during a pandemic are not so important during non pandemic times.

I hate to be the conspiracy theorist but doesn't it all seem to be just a little too convenient. Rome fell due to plague, devaluing currency, and war. All while we had covid from china, endless money printing resulting in inflation, endless funding of wars, israel dragging us into a war, lay offs, food insecurity, unaffordable housing, supply chain disruptions, cargo shipping lanes blocked, infastructure failures(ships hitting bridges, train derailments), attacks on power grids, billionares buying bunkers, BRICS nation, saudi arabia dropping the dollar, ex president being buddy buddy with russia, ex pres stealing top secret docs, half the country wants a civil war, immigration crisis, spy balloons, an insurrection, and an election that will determine if a billionare will be held accountable for his crimes and now a port strike. But I'm more terrified that billions bought bunkers.

This port strike is a joke. They're requesting a 77% pay increase but yet in 2022, the average full-time registered longshore worker earned around $197, 000 per year, excluding benefits. These benefits can significantly increase total compensation, with clerks averaging around $220, 000 and foremen earning as much as $306, 000 annually.

All this is going to do is increase the cost of goods for the consumers.

Me with 0️⃣ experience on this subject, just did a google search and they make on average $19.00 an hour. While we don’t need a recession, these guys do need a raise. Yikes. 😱

This is a fight against corporate greed. Keep it shut down while the media focuses on food prices.

You know there’s a handful of people making 80% of the money made from the ports meanwhile they’re paying entry level port workers minimum wage

So they are going on strike to get more money but in doing so they are going to make me and many like me lose and miss out on money. Gee thanks my fellow blue collar workers!!!!'. Signed a port truck driver

What they don’t tell you guy is these Dock workers make more money then most people in the area. Those jobs in the Tidewater area are high paying job that people can’t get in unless you know someone or your family. So they not hurting for money
