Synthpro Special Polymoog 203a (SOLD)

Hi Guys,

Today I have a very special Polymoog 203a for sale. I restored this one with love but also added something that makes this poly even cooler....PRESET 7 IS VOX HUMANA!!!!!! It took some work to get it just right but I am very happy with it.

My asking price is $3500 and comes with Legs, Polypedal, ATA case, 1 year warranty, and customer support as long as I'm around...will not find that with any other polymoog out there.

Those keyboards are not that weird or freaky, but they are incredible instruments if you really can play a keyboard. The touch feel of the keyboard is incredible, and I prefer it to most modern controllers nowadays. It has beautiful subtlety and complexity if you get the synthesizer version with the adjustable settings

It seems by all means, that the 280A has the great presets, and the 203A has the filter and modulation capabilities. I used to have a 203A, and hated its thin voice and presets.
Many times I read and was told that the Vox Humana patch could not be reproduced on the 203A, so what you achieved here is truly extraordinary. Not sure how long it took to reprogram it.
In that principle, I wonder if the best presets of the 280A could be reprogrammed into the 203A, or their voice cards swapped. The result would be a unique instrument.
In sound quality the Polymoog is amazing, with unbelievable in-your-face clarity, and loved that aspect of the instrument. I had the chance to compare it against a Memorymoog, and in sound quality the Polymoog destroyed it.
While I hated the presets of my 203A, in retrospective I miss it a lot. Went through several polysynths until settling on my Jupiter-8, which I still own over 15 years later.
But some day I would love to re-acquaint myself with a Polymoog. It sounds like no other.

Seems like a great purchase but I don't have the money right now and shipping to the Netherlands will also be costly I think. Anyways, I wish you all the luck with your new direction in live. You have a great future in music technology Jareth, the Polymoog was Moogs turkey but you have built a beast of a Moog Polymoog out of two of them.
I do hate the fuzzy keys, I actually managed to record the live intro to Replicas once without a single fuzzy key on my 280.

Great 203a Jareth, I saw Gary Numan 2 weeks ago, 36 years after I first saw him live. Shame he doesn't use the Polymoog's anymore (Billy Currie & his Odyssey was when the band was at their best imo). Nice sounds from 8:16 onwards btw.

If you were able to reprogram one of the presets doesn't that mean you could program it into anything you want to get around the limited manual voice?

I also would like to see a future demo from you on how to spruce up Synth covers/chassis.. Weather Metal, Plastic, Aluminum, wood...How do you clean and brighten up synth cases??
