Facial Expression Analysis Demo - Gabor Wavelets

Jeffrey M Girard (University of Pittsburgh) demos the use of Gabor wavelets to extract texture information from the face. A mother wavelet is applied at eight orientations and five scales to each frame of the source video. The visualization (on the right) is produced by summing the output of each filter and representing this sum as brightness. More information can be found on my blog at:
