I never understood why What's Happening Now got a bad rap? I really enjoyed it and most of the elements of the original were there. It was just... more modern... that's all. I dunno what people expected? The cast was grown up.

I remember discovering this show because even though I grew up in the 90s, they'd play What's Happening a LOT. Then one day this came on and there was no internet for me to find out a spin off existed. I was so happy.

Also, Dee was a fox when she grew up.

The acting got worse on What’s Happening Now but the show was so iconic (to me anyway), they get a pass❤️Roger and his wife were still spot on. Shirley too.
