East Palestine residents go to Home Depot and purchase water test package. They might have a soil test kit. The kit is simple to use, and the price of the kit includes the testing. Keep records and record you taking the sample. This testing is independent from the Government EPA.

So they should. America has become a Corporate Oligarchy and that needs to be changed in favor of the people, and not profits over people.

Norfolk Southern should be held liable. The water, land, and air should be returned to environmentally sound parameters. There should also be a dedicated untouchable fund for the residents of the affected areas for healthcare support long term care. A separate account for flora and fawna care as well. Additionally, the regulators and oversight should enforce the laws for safe operation of transportation.

The rail company should be made to buy out the victims of this tragedy so they can start putting their lives together somewhere else. Then they will be required to continue monitoring and remediation actions on the land and neighboring communities.

I'm sure this complete clean up is going to cost much more than if they had just upgraded the braking systems

So in political speak, that means Norfolk Southern will be given a promotion and will receive billions in government dollars.

This is why we need Big Government. Without it, we're powerless against Big Business. Next time you hear a Republican call for deregulation, don't clap and cheer. And don't vote for them.

Maybe ALL the major RR should consider replenishing the diminished Car inspectors,
Along with Track maintenance, these are in need of more inspectors. Can't Deny.

Thankfully, Pete Buttiage is actively investigating racism in the railway chemical disaster.

Look on the bright side, I'm sure all the board members and executives will give themselves multi-million dollar bonuses to compensate them for the trauma of having to deal with this catastrophe before they resign. They'll be OK.

What a POS
"The issue here is we have to keep the economy going"
~Sen Brown concerning vote against railroad strike

"The rail bosses, backed by the federal government, refused to address any safety or other substantive issues raised by rail workers through our unions in the recent national rail negotiations."

An act of environmental despoliation that will rival that of Bhopal.

I love looking at all the gang taggings painted on the boxcars as I sit at a crossing. Some really great art work.
