Infinite deserves a second chance and needs to redeem himself as a villain because Forces did him so dirty

I can imagine what infinite’s fight could be like
1. He sends clones in of shadow’s friends rouge, omega etc.
2. He would send in his cube things in to attack that you can deflect with the doom spears
3. The meteor smash silver had but infinite themed

Make sense since sonic forces levels because they have sonic 06 levels and Mephiles was finally confirmed so infinite should be in the game

Infinite I would've 100% been willing to bet he'd return, even before Mephiles was confirmed, because unlike Mephiles, Infinite was lucky enough to not be erased from the timeline. Defeated, yes, but everyone who was in Forces remembers him (Tails does mention Infinite in Frontiers).

It makes sense for Infinite to appear as a boss. Infinite became who he is now all because of Shadow kicked his butt at ease, and, just like Mephiles, made him afraid of Shadow at first

And then one likely final boss that's going to be that new form of Black Doom.

I feel like the battle in Sunset Heights would be the moment in Episode Shadow after Enemy Territory where he meets Infinite.

Having a Sonic Forces themed stage hopefully means Infinite will also be included, as Infinite's entire backstory is tied to his rivalry with Shadow.

The thing that makes infinite more likely is silver's rival fight for sonic. Crisis City was already a stage on the game and yet silver still shows up there for his rival battle. And given that the boost engine is vastly different from the adventure - 2006 formula, changes needed to be made for him and shadow's fights. Infinite could be the opposite, starting similarly to his final tag team boss in forces before evolving to match bettwr with shadow's enhanced moveset to take advantage of hedgehog engine 2 and the frontiers + shadow gens gameplay engine

I think it'd be neat if Infinite used his sword from the comic. Pre-Phantom Ruby Infinite was basically the "powerless mercenary" idea from SA2's development.

Tbh I’d say probably, because it makes sense for SEGA to take advantage of sunset heights and add infinite as a rival to add some spice just like crisis city with silver in sonic generations. and if sunset heights and the potential infinite boss are both fun then this would also make forces’ reputation a bit better just like 06 lmao.

Probably will be Silver as the 3rd rival fight, not because he was in Sonic Generations, but rather if crisis city was a thing in Sonic Generations, and Kingdom Valley is a thing in Sonic x Shadow Generations, then would it be such a crazy stretch to assume that Silver and Shadow would be having a rival fight in Kingdom Valley? Essentially another throwback to Sonic 06.
