Lived in Dunedin, NZ, for 2 years(Sept. 2009 to Sept. 2011)...got to hear this beautiful chorus every morning.... :)

You know what? I'm convinced. Birds are the most incredible and interesting animals to me now. Their chirps and many melodies are so calming and beautiful

I absolutely love the sounds made by these birds. Every time I would visit my grandma in Kaikoura (she moved there from the US like 30 years ago) I would hear the bellbirds in her trees. Back in 2012 there was a nest not too far away so we could hear the babies constantly, with their single tone peeps. There was one of the birds in particular that I think I would hear every time I was down there, I think it was the same one because it would always sing the exact same melody

Oh man that fluffy plumage is just gorgeous! Kinda like a fluffed up tennis ball! I guess it was a cold day so they fluffed themselves up for warmth, I had no idea they could look like this, just trying to match sound with some new daily chorus around my home. I think I’m a bellbird groupie now!

So many of them! We've just had one in our peach tree this week...first time they've been seen up here in the Hakarimatas in over 30 years apparently!

For first time in 15 years of living in chch I have a Bellbird nearby. Haven't seen it yet so I played this video. The birds response was awesome so hoping he/she thinks is ok place to live!!

This pretty much confirms I did hear and see a bellbird in the garden today near Maungatapere Mt Whangarei. Not often seen here. Very distinctive sounds!
