I got the mainstays at 4:00 and It only works good if it is facing downward. If it faces upward it slows down and I feel like it overheats. Ive had it for about 2 years and I'm thinking of buying a new fan soon. Thank you for posting

I like the laslo box fans I think they are good I still have a 3733 from my childhood and I'm 23 and it still works

Yes, the lasko box fans are trash. If a fan blade is going to be tapered, the widest part should be at the tips where it will move the most air. These new lasko fans have that stupid flower shape with the tips of the blades being thin, so they move very little air considering how noisy they are. I prefer vornado floor fans. Even the smaller ones are excellent at circulating the air. I also just picked up the 16" pedestal fan from WM. It was still $55 but it has an all-metal construction. Metal fan blades can be thinner than plastic and don't flex as much so they maintain better air flow. I am satisfied with its performance. When positioned properly it will circulate all of the air within a 400 sq ft room without issues and it's not noisy.
