One of these days I might make it to a large regional or national event like this. Until then, I will keep living vicariously through AVweb and others. Keep up the good work ;-)

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday. Thanks for the preview Paul. I hope someone has Italian sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions.

I wanna go... I just don't have anyone to fly with and don't feel experienced enough to fly in on my own. Maybe next year...

While showing and talking about the Thunderbirds the voiceover says "Navy jet teams". Really? Assuming just the 6 demo aircraft were there, combined they would have 'United States Air Force' prominently displayed on each side of the fuselage for a total of 12 times and 'USAF' in huge letters an additional 6 times.

I miss the days where Oshkosh and Sun n fun we’re all about grass roots homebuilt planes that middle class pilots could afford. It’s sad to see general aviation move back towards a rich man’s sport where single engine planes are priced as a percentage of a million dollars much the way jets measure speed in Mach numbers. As a Young Eagle coordinator I still enjoy introducing young people to flying but apart from becoming commercial pilots which certainly is an opportunity I wonder how many will be able to afford flying in the future. My next hurdle as I age will be when insurance companies price me out of the sky. I am witnessing this with my older flying buddies. After age 75 they are even being refused insurance. The industry will survive but it’s focus is on a different demographic. Those with excess wealth.
