American policy toward Europe has become compartmentalized. Should the US pull out of NATO if members do not pay enough or rally NATO to confront Russia and continue years of support in Afghanistan? Europe is a major trading partner, but we have trade wars. Years of support for the European Union are in question as President Trump supports Brexit. This year’s conference looked at the fundamentals of our relationship with Europe.

The Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs and former U.S. Ambassador to France and Monaco, Charles H. Rivkin, delivered the keynote address.

Are you the one who is causing movies to be focused on social justice, lefty idealogy and race more than historical fact a d freedom of creativity. Democratic process? I thought you were in the movies isn't the movies the ultimate expression of a republic individual freedom to create? I believe the who is in charge of the movie industry should never be political this should not be a political appointed position this should be ran by those who love movies for the simple fact that it is allowing great minds to express creativity that Taps into the soul of all of us not to be pigeonholed in some ridiculous forms such as political advocacy of any side. If you are the one sir you should really rethink your position and give it to someone else because the movie industry is losing to individual platforms that are allowing for independent small budget films that are superseding your lobby. In short you're killing the Golden Age feel that is connected between the screen and the audience because you're more worried about cancel culture and everything else that the left is pushing you to focus on.
