This problem seem to stem from previously deactivated and then reactivated yahoo accounts. Yahoo has disabled receiving account recovery emails to recovered accounts.

I’ve tried for weeks to regain access to my ig account but my recovered yahoomail never received any code.

But your amazing video finally got me thru that! YOU’RE A WIZARD! I finally got an email for the reset password part. However, I’m still unable to receive the code.

I’ll try again in a day or two. Being able to receive the email is a huge step already. Thank you soooo much!!

EDIT: I GOT THE CODE! Try switching devices to log in and request code.

Hi there! Thank you so much for this information! Trying this today and it seems like the "security and login" option under settings is no longer available. The only options I see currently are "privacy, new pages experience, notifications, and linked accounts". I've been clicking around trying to find the "setting up extra security section" but no luck.
