Andreas Papadamou - tambur | Ανδρέας Παπαδάμου - ταμπούρ

Ο Ανδρέας Παπαδάμου παίζει όργανο κατασκευής του εργαστηρίου "Ισίδωρος & Ανδρέας Παπαδάμου" βασισμένο στο ταμπούρ του γνωστού δεξιοτέχνη στο Ούτι Αγάπιου Τομπούλη. Το όργανο είναι κατασκευασμένο από μαύρη μουριά στο σκάφος και καπάκι έλατο καλυμένο με παλίσανδρο. Ο καβαλάρης πλέει σε ένα στεφάνι από δέρμα δίνοντας αυτό τον ιδιαίτερο ήχο που ξεφεύγει από το κλασικό ούτι.

Andreas Papadamou is playing the latest instrument that made in the workshop "Isidoros & Andreas Papadamou". This is an instrument based on the tambur of Agapios Tombulis well known from the rebetiko and Roze eskinazi as one of the best oud players in Greece. The instrument's speaker is made by dark mulberry and the top from spruce covered from rosewood veneer. The bridge is floating on a fish skin adapted to fit into the spruce.

Hi, we call the instrument tambur because this is how Ilias Petropoulos is calling it on his book "Rebetika tragoudia". The instrument is not like a cumbus! It is more like a Ahenk that has a wooden speaker and wooden top with the bridge floating on a leather area.
