I love that you dropped everything to spend time with your family. I would be the same!! I love Agatha Christie as well. Great wrap up!

Your thoughts on Night were like I felt. Heartbreaking and they are starting to be forgotten in our time. I remember it feeling so real as I read. I read it in my 20s after I took a good college history class. I grew up with the NKJV but I’ve been reading ESV currently. I like it a lot as well. This was a great month of books! 🙂💕

I love how you’re now discovering Agatha Christie! What a treat as there are so many in all the series! I thought I had read quite a lot of them years ago, but now realise I have many more to go! And I want to reread the older ones too as well as watch some adaptations! I have never read All Creatures Great & Small, so must add that to my TBR. I really like using the NIV study Bible as it gives extra notes to give context and to apply it to everyday life 😊📚

I think 13 books is still so much! Also I totally understand that you dropped everything for your son! Family always comes first! ❤️ "The Signalman" sounds like a good book to read inbetween. Great video! I loved the Christmassy intro. XD

Having just finished Poirot's Christmas, I saw your IG post of The Sittaford Mystery, and have started that. - So far, sooo good!

I use the New Living Translation for my daily reading. But if I am studying (like in a Bible study) I use the ESV or the Amplified. I do like the NASB, the NKJV, and I like to read some passages in the Message (the Lord’s prayer is great but not the one I say aloud!).

I enjoyed this wrap-up very much🙂. I also love Agatha Christie🙂🙌 Today I am reading Father Christma's Fake Beard by Terry Pratchett. I've never read a book by him, but planning to try his adult books soon. Have you read any of his books? Hope you a wonderful day☕🧁💫⚘

I enjoyed hearing your thoughts about the books. Sparkling Cyanide is an Agatha Christie I have not read yet ;) Night is a book that I am a bit afraid to read but I need to read it.

I need to add _The Brontës_ to my list! 🤓 I love that you're enjoying Agatha Christie *so* much! 👏🏻 I also love that you included reading the Bible. I have never read it the whole way through 🙄 and I am planning on doing that in the new year. I'm Catholic, so my bible(s) differ a tiny bit from yours; Catholic bibles have 46 books in the Old Testament, whereas KJV and other Protestant bibles contain 39. The additional books are: Tobit, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach and Baruch; there are also sections in the Books of Esther and Daniel in the Catholic bible that aren't included in the Protestant bibles. 😉 Both Catholic and Protestant bibles have 27 books in the New Testament. Sorry, that was probably more than you wanted or needed to know! 😂 ❤️

Night is a great book and so are the other books in the trilogy. I only got 6 books read in November bu 4 of the books ranked among my top books of the year. I read the following:
1. The Love Songs of W.E.B. Dubois - I read this for Indignathon and Historathon. It covers the Creek Nation and the beginnings of slavery up through the present day. It's 800 pages and it took me two weeks to read it but it was a 5* read. The only thing I didn't like about it is it seemed to end abruptly.
2.My Monticello by Nicole Nicole Johnson - This was another 5* read. The story My Monticello has become one of my favorite short stories of all time just incredible.
3. Patricia MacLachlan - Sarah Plain and Tall - There was nothing wrong with this book. I'd say it was a good little read but it just didn't WOW! me.
4. Alexander McCall Smith - The Man With the Silver Saab - This is the 3rd book in the Inspector Varq series. I usually love McCall Smith's books especially The #1 Ladies Detective Agency, and the first two Inspector Varq books were both 4* reads. But I didn't like this I rated it 3* and I didn't like his book of short stories that came out earlier this year. I've got two #1 Ladies Detective Agency books on my Cloak and Dagger TBR and I hope they are as good as the rest of the series.
5. Miriam Toews - Fright Night - this has to be the funniest book I've ever read. It has a bittersweet ending that left me on the verge of tears. This was another 5* read and one of the best books of the year for me.
6. Tina Turner - Happiness Becomes You - Religion is my main interest and Tina Turner is one of my favorite singers. Plus the fact that I don't know much about Buddhism made this an interesting read for me. This was my book for the NF readathon.

I have that Bronte book on my January list along with at least one book by each sister. I read All Things Bright and Beautiful in middle school....think I will find it for a re-read. Love Bradbury. Not a Christie fan🙄 (shame on me I know🤣)

I noticed that you mark your books. What do you look for when you mark them?

Have you read The Happiest Man on Earth? or Man's Search for Meaning? Both are excellent and better imo than Night. My son read The Martian Chronicles this year too and says, "it's VERY disjointed" LOL I think every Christian should study every version posing as The Holy Bible and then compare scripture with scripture and see which versions are in error or contradict because the wording has been changed. Highly recommend it.
