I do not understand and let me know if I am wrong a chef knife is mainly designed for cutting in the kitchen. The blade that extends beyond the handle doesn't seem like it would cut much of anything without binding up and that large hole seems like it would accumulate alot of food and not be very good at cutting much in kitchen. Now edc then those are not an issue but as a chef knife I see a lot of problems with it. I realize that being a pass around knife you probably didn't cut anything in the kitchen with it but would be interesting to see a trial on that.
The ability to Spidey flip it is a good thing. Looks like a fun drive the wife crazy fidget toy. Glad you like it. Have fun playing with it till you have to pass it on.
