This video is all about the topic "Law of Variable Proportion" which we have explained in Nepali language. It is a law based on short run production function and states that as we go on increasing variable factor of production (labour) keeping other factor constant (capital), total product (TP) increases at an increasing rate, later, TP increases at a decreasing rate and becomes maximum and finally TP starts declining. There are three stages to be identified while explaining Law of Variable Proportion i.e.:
Stage I - Increasing Returns
Stage II- Diminishing Returns
Stage III- Negative Returns
We have explained the law along with the meaning of Production Function and types of production Function. Also, we gave the meaning of law of variable proportion and prepared a schedule and finally plot the diagram to show all the three stages. We have explained the features of the three stages as well.
